It may not be completely obvious to all, but there is a lot going on in Virginia right now. More natural upheaval than I can remember ever seeing in such close proximity to one another. Here’s the score card. There has been a heavy smoke blowing in from a fire in the Great Dismal Swamp area. Thick enough most days to make you sick to your stomach. Today in fact was another one of those days. That fire has burned for well over a month now, and most fire fighters say that man will not put this fire out. It will ether burn itself out, or some other natural event will do it. The firefighters have resigned to only contain it, but have abandoned trying to extinguish it. Then there was the earthquake a few days ago. A 2.5 aftershock was felt today just to remind us that it wasn’t a dream. There really was an earthquake in Virginia. And now there is a massive hurricane making a ‘B’ line for the North Carolina / Virginia border. That’s three natural events in the span of a few days. We debated leaving the area, and may still leave, but as of now, we’ll sit tight. There are a million cares throughout the world. Today I add my on to the stack. Once again rain is on my mind. But much too much rain this time. Much too much wind. Much more than I wan’t. Prayerfully not more than we can take.
