Does anyone remember that song, or is it just me. My house is actually not in the middle, but on the corner. Some days this corner seems so barren, and other days it looks like Miami Beach during Spring Break. Today is a barren day. I think its the sidewalks. Up north where I’m from, every street has sidewalks. They sort of say “This is where your private property ends, and the public street begins.” Sidewalks put boundaries around everything, and marks everyone’s territory. Up north the sidewalks seem to say “You may walk here if you like.” They seem to say “The street is for cars, but sidewalks are here for you.” But down here, there are no sidewalks, just grass. Nothing here says. “This is where you may walk.” I guess that’s why some days look so barren.

It’s a pretty neighborhood but I noticed the lack of a side walk… Maybe you need speed bumps to help protect walkers form speeding cars…
